Established in 2011, Serente Spa in Uptown Park has quickly become one of Houston’s most luxurious resort style spas. Owner, Linda Cuffari, has been in the spa industry for over 25 years and has trained spa staff at the Ritz Carlton, Canyon Ranch, Bellagio and in Napa Valley. The latest in unique treatments and services makes Serente one of Houston’s most exclusive spa experiences. We recently sat down with Linda to catch up on what she refers to as her passion for helping others find health, balance and beauty.
Q: Can you tell us about your experience in the spa industry and why you decided to open Serente Spa?
A: I have had more than 25 years of experience in the industry and am licensed in Texas, Arizona and California. For several years I have dreamed of opening my own spa, and finding the perfect location was key. I am really enjoying the opportunity to bring Houston a true skin care spa with the latest, most advanced treatments and products. I am constantly researching the industry to ensure that Serente’s clients have only the best.
Q: How did you choose Uptown Park as the location to open up Serente Spa?
A: I have always loved the ambiance of the Uptown Park shopping center where people love to spend time. I felt it was the perfect place for the type of spa experience I wanted to bring to Houston. After almost 3 years of waiting for the perfect spot to open up, I finally found it!
Q: How did you design the look and feel of your spa and what kind of vibe do you want to give your customers when they walk in the door?
A: I have been working on this project for years! As I traveled around the country training staff at several world-class resort spas, I took the best of what each experience had to offer and created Serente Spa. When you walk into Serente, you feel as though you’ve transported yourself into a destination spa. The colors are warm and inviting – bronze, cream, teal and gold. Our goal is to pamper each client with unparalleled comfort and the ultimate in relaxation. I love that our space, even when full, never feels over crowded. Whether on your own or with friends, Serente can accommodate your needs.
Q: We know you offer a wide variety of Spa Services, but which is your favorite to recommend to your clients?
A: All of our facial treatments are extremely popular, but the Intraceuticals Oxygen Infused Facial is definitely the most unique service we offer. Oxygen treatment is the current craze in Beverly Hills and I’m thrilled to bring this cutting edge treatment to Houston. Infusing oxygen into the skin helps to maintain healthier, younger looking skin.
Q: Your zero gravity chair for the Oxygen Inhalation treatment is a concept built by NASA. Can you tell us about this unique char? What does this treatment do for your body?
A: Serente Spa’s Zero Gravity Chair lets you experience oxygen inhalation while feeling like you’re floating on air! A: We have a beautiful “Retail Therapy Boutique.” Serente Spa carries the finest products from around the world including France, Germany, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland and USA. I especially love the Comfort Zone products from Parma, Italy.
Q: What services does Serente Spa offer that other spas do not offer?
A: One of my favorite unique treatments is the Serente Signature 24K Gold Facial, a decadently satisfying way to take years off your skin. This age reversal treatment leaves your skin drenched with 24K Gold, amino acids, collagen and perlite, hydrating and repairing the skin at the cellular level. The Oxygen Inhalation in the Zero Gravity Chair, Silver Ion Mask, Intraceuticals Oxygen Infused Facial and Biophotonic Scanner are other exclusive services we offer here at Serente Spa.
Q: For a lot of people it’s hard to take time off work or away from the family to do something for themselves. Do you have any treatments that are quick and easy, but have long-lasting results?
A: Yes, we can work around any schedule. Clients pressed for time often enjoy the Serente Express Facial, a 30-minute touch up that leaves you visibly refreshed. And just 15 minutes of oxygen therapy in the Zero Gravity Chair can work wonders! What’s most important is that we all take time, even if it’s just a few minutes, to relax and rebalance.
