Mark your calendars for the Uptown Park Art Car Preview Show on Sunday, May 6th from 12-4pm, celebrating the Houston Art Car Parade’s 25th Anniversary!

Uptown Park is giving you a sneak peak of 10 of the most magnificent art cars up close and personal the weekend before the Houston Art Car Parade. Enjoy light bites from Champps Americana, McCormick & Schmick’s, My Fit Foods and Potbelly Sandwich Works in Uptown Park while you stroll the parking lot.

You will also have the chance to buy VIPit tickets to the Houston Art Car Parade the following weekend.

ULI and NAIOP Happy Hour at The Tasting Room

The Tasting Room in Uptown Park hosted a Happy Hour last week, Wednesday, April 28th, for a joint networking event between the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders Group and the Developing Leaders of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate and Development Association. Complete with wine and hors d’oeuvres, the event was truly a success!

Earlier in the month, a ULI luncheon was held that focused on the ever evolving and currently thriving, Uptown District of Houston. So, it was no surprise that much of the conversation among guests at the happy hour last week was set around the future of Uptown. As the young professionals of Houston gathered and shared their thoughts and hopes for the continuing success of the Uptown District, it became apparent that the members of these programs are passionate about their city – a special thanks to ULI Young Leaders Group and the Developing Leaders of NAIOP, as well as The Tasting Room in Uptown Park for keeping the city of Houston and the Uptown District ahead of the curve.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The mission of ULI is to provide responsible leadership in the use of land and enhancement of the total environment. In effort to engage young professionals in the real estate community, ULI Houston started the Young Leaders program in 2002 and now has over 1,200 members under the age of 35. The Young Leaders Group hosts several social events throughout the year, facilitating a networking community among young professionals. The Developing Leaders of NAIOP is also a program geared specifically for professionals age 35 and under. Similar to ULI, this program is designed to help propel one’s career to the next level, providing industry networking and education.
